Babcock is looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to join the High Frequency Radio team based in Waiouru, Manawatū-Whanganui
About the role
The High Frequency Maintenance Coordinator role offers you the chance to play a vital part in maintaining New Zealand’s defence communication capabilities. As a key team member, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of the High Frequency Radio System through precise planning, coordination, and technical record management. This role also involves performing non-technical maintenance activities to support the overall functionality of critical systems. With solid experience in office processes, including defence or communications environments, you thrive in team settings and excel in MS Office tools. Key Required Skills
- Effective communication (written and verbal).
- Strong organizational abilities for scheduling and documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Knowledge of engineering lifecycle processes.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with HSE protocols and practices.
- Attention to detail for technical documentation and compliance.
Key Requirements
- Exemplary attention to detail.
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Certified will be highly regarded
- Awareness of working at heights (training provided).
- Eligibility to hold an elevated NZSIS Security Clearance (Minimum 10 years as a NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident)
