About the role


Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Lifting Equipment Engineer to join a team of four.


You will be responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of a range of mechanical lifting equipment including Lever Chain Hoists, Tirfors, Motorised Spacer Chairs, Running Out Blocks, Hydraulic and Electrical equipment.


You will prepare, inspect and certify lifting and other specialist equipment in line with LOLER and PUWER regulations against a site request. You will also  carry out Portable Appliance Testing of electrical equipment e.g. transformers, capstan winches and portable tools either at the NDC or on site.


What do I need to do the role?


Ideally you will have either a background in maintaining and servicing of lifting equipment, or mechanical knowledge within a different environment.


You will also have a full UK driving licence, and be prepared and able bodied for manual handling tasks.


LOLER & PUWER qualifications would be highly desirable.


A willingness to travel is essential.
