The role
As a IT Service Delivery Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Responsible for the IT Operational team that provide IT Services to the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME) across all 5 sites, maintaining and supporting the ICT infrastructure and applications.
Day-to-day, you’ll oversee the IT department’s daily operations with a focus on ensuring services operate in line with SLA’s.
- Ensure services and technology are kept up to date, supported and secure
- Driving IT initiatives that enhance efficiency, security and scalability
- Develop and implement IT policies and strategies
- Stakeholder/customer engagement providing guidance to both the Babcock contract team and customer on all IT related matters
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at Chatham.
Essential experience of the IT Service Delivery Manager:
- Proven experience in IT management or similar roles with excellent leadership skills
- Ideal candidate will possess the ability to assess, transform and modernise the current IT Environment and identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions
- Defence Digital or MOD industry experience
- Experience of UK Government approach to cyber security and information assurance
- Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure technologies, and applications including Azure / M365 (roadmap deliverables)

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
