The role
As a Driver, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for providing a transport service, which includes driving a variety of military and civilian vehicles, on and off road.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

• Transport eligible personnel and/or equipment to and from the appropriate training exercise or other entitled military duty and ensure their safe carriage.
• Drive any one of the multi-disciplined vehicles. 
• Complete department administrative tasks when required.
• Deal with the day-to-day customer queries in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner.
• Be responsible for carrying out a high standard of Level 1 (User) maintenance (Before, During & After Use Checks) on a wide range of Military, cars, HGV’s, coaches including electric vehicles, haulage vehicles and trailers – depending on licences held.

This role is full time and based onsite at our Chatham site.

Essential experience of the Driver:

• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Customer focused with the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Flexible approach to working hours; overtime may be a necessity, but not guaranteed.
• Ability to work both as an individual and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy.

Qualifications for the Driver:

• Full B licence
• PSV – (Public Service Vehicle) licence
• HGV licence desirable

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
