The role
As a Vehicle Technician Trainer, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary, by joining part of an existing training team delivering high quality Military apprentice training.

Day to day, you’ll deliver technical training in line with curriculum, deliver training on Vehicle maintenance, completing and marking of all course work, assessments and ensuring all documents are correctly recorded along with maintaining a safe working environment. Previous training/teaching experience is not necessary as full training will be provided and you will gain a level 4 teaching qualification.

• Ability to prepare and deliver instruction on course modules in the Initial Trade Training Department in support of the DCTT EMTC including lesson plans, training aids, workbooks and trainee handouts
• Maintaining a Continuous Personal Development (CPD) portfolio in respect of new technologies and equipment, ensuring lesson plans and training sessions are developed in accordance with the approved Learner Specifications, Course specifications and Course Training Plans
• Review course material and content ensuring it is current and evolves to support equipment and technology advances, using the most appropriate training aids
• Assessment of trainees to include creation of written examinations and progress test papers, creation of practical assessment / examination scenarios and continuous assessments, marking of examination papers, setting and marking of course and homework and invigilation of examinations and assessments

Essential experience of the Vehicle Technician Trainer:
•    Vehicle Technician Background
•    Proficient in IT 
•    Knowledge of a military environment and equipment
•    Knowledge of the REME trade Structure and operational requirements
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a tact in diplomacy
•    Current HGV MOT inspector and/or Knowledge / Experience of armoured and B-vehicle MEI process
•    Knowledge / Experience of JAMES (Joint Asset Management and Equipment Solutions) desirable 

This is a full time role based on our Lyneham training operations site. 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.

Qualifications for the Vehicle Technician Trainer:

• Full training and funding will be provided to gain Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training during probation period of the role
