The role
As a Learning and Development Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of driving excellence in training and development across our business unit. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to influence how our teams grow, learn, and deliver. You’ll be part of a professional team designing and delivering impactful learning programmes that support continuous improvement and career progression.

 

Day-to-day you’ll be:
•    Delivering accredited and non-accredited programmes including AET, CET, CAVA, and IQA qualifications.
•    Designing and delivering technical, behavioural, and leadership learning programmes.
•    Coaching and mentoring trainers and staff to enhance performance and professional development.
•    Supporting contract teams with expert guidance on learning and development strategies.
•    Ensuring compliance with teaching and assessment standards through ongoing support and training.

 


This role is based onsite at Lyneham, and the set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week. Hybrid working patterns are available. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites will be expected.

 

Essential experience of the Learning and Development Specialist:
•    Proven experience in education/training quality assurance.
•    Background in delivering training within apprenticeship or commercial environments.
•    Strong understanding of commercial training provision and environments.

 

Qualifications for the Learning and Development Specialist:
•    Level 5 or above teaching qualification
•    Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
•    Level 3 Assessor qualification (CAVA)
•    Level 4 IQA qualification
•    Health & Safety Level 2 qualification
•    Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring qualification

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain UK - Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service + Security Check (EDBSSC) security clearance for this role.
