The role
As a Workshop Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for maximising vehicle throughout, minimising vehicle downtime, whilst controlling costs, maintaining compliance and creating an environment for the employees to thrive and achieve.
Day to day, you’ll prioritise work to ensure key performance indicators (KPI’s) and service level agreements (SLA’s) are achieved and minimised, take active measures to reduce interruptions and inefficiencies. You’ll also conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of all job card information i.e. all work and parts/labour charges relating to third-party work are accounted for and write ups are specific, comprehensive and legible.
- Ensure the workshop is well maintained and that utilisation of space is maximised
- Have a consistent commercial focus including customer service, risk management, effective use of technology and consideration of limited resource management
- Liaise with the support centre on a regular basis, keeping them informed of vehicle progress within the Workshop and to guide &/or advise on the repairs required
Essential experience of the Workshop Manager,
- 5+ years of managment experience in a Workshop
- HGV background
This is a full time role based on site
Qualifications for the Workshop Manager,
- Proactive
- IT Literate
- Level 3 HGV
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance level for this role.
