The role
As a Flight Line Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will support the servicing and maintenance of Hawk T2 aircraft to ensure readiness for daily flying operations, while also assisting with the handling and support of visiting aircraft at RAF Valley.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Perform all Authority Level B tasks that fall within the scope of current authorisation, subject to any limitations set by the authorising authority.
- Operate in full compliance with the constraints and responsibilities outlined in the SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person) framework for the assigned grade.
- Undertake first signature responsibilities, ensuring accountability and adherence to maintenance standards.
- Sign off first signature tasks within the defined trade boundary, confirming completion and compliance.
- Execute Authority Level D tasks that do not require additional authorisation, including EFO Operator duties when required to meet exceptional operational demands.
This role is full time working 36 hours per week and is based on site at Valley, Anglesey.
Essential experience of the Flight Line Operative:
- Computer literate.
Qualifications for the Flight Line Operative:
- Full UK Driving License.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) clearance for this role.
