Operational Excellence activities directly seek to change ways of working from a current state to a desired future state. As a result, the successful implementation of such activity can demonstrate a measurable improvement to a performance metric (e.g. Time, Cost or Quality) and typically accrues a number of benefits.


How
 
Day to day, you’ll manage Hawk Business Performance projects as directed by the Performance Planning Manager, co-ordinate and manage Hawk Enterprise Continuous Improvement initiatives, customer liaison and business relationship engagement with Prime Contractor (BAE Systems) and Authority, define appropriate metrics for measuring and improving transformation performance, and baseline current performance on all allocated projects to establish benefits post transformation.
 
Structure, facilitate and co-ordinate the delivery of Change Improvement Activities with stakeholder and customer participation, perform complex facilitation across multi-stakeholder groups, including strategic planning/alignment with due cognisance to business requirements and objectives, be responsible for transformation projects, and the reporting of progress/status of these projects using an appropriate pre-defined toolset.
Management, planning and control of allocated transformation projects, including the development of project plans and defining appropriate metrics for measuring ROI, support/lead on the capture, analysis and configuration control of internal and external customer requirements on allocated transformation projects, provide project management support to all delegated transformation activities and solution development/planning, ensuring dependencies are effectively captured and escalated, ensure that appropriate dependencies, assumptions and exclusions are captured against all allocated transformation projects, and that they are challenged, understood and communicated effectively to key interfaces/project stakeholders, ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times, maintain Environmental, Quality, Security and Health & Safety standards as defined by Babcock Policy, behave in line with the Being Babcock set of principles and any other tasks as directed by the Performance Planning Manager.

Essential experience
•    Engineering or Business Management (with engineering industry experience) degree qualified or equivalent
•    Experience with business performance management software and MS Office
•    Full Car driving licence
•    Experience in identifying Business Improvement Opportunities, and leading BI Projects
•   Working knowledge of Business or Continuous Improvement Applications (Lean, Six Sigma, CI, etc)
•    All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be subject to satisfactory security clearance which includes 3 years reference checks. Verification of any qualifications/passport/licences must be shown at interview stage.
•    Obtain or have the ability to obtain SC Clearance
