The role

As an Aircraft Inspector, you’ll be a key member of our UK Military Air team supporting the LAFT2 contract. You’ll use your specialist skills to deliver high‑quality maintenance, inspection and technical support for our aircraft fleet, helping ensure safe and reliable flying operations every day. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a small, close‑knit team while being part of a much larger international organisation committed to excellence and continuous improvement.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

 

  • Assisting with ground movement of aircraft.
  • Supervising and carrying out flight‑line operations, including aircraft preparation, check‑A maintenance, and fuel/oil replenishment.
  • Conducting and supervising scheduled and corrective maintenance across the LAFT aircraft fleet.
  • Completing pre‑use checks and scheduled maintenance of Ground Support Equipment.
  • Using RAL systems to support maintenance and rectification tasking and documentation.

 

 

You’ll work 20 hours per week, with occasional weekend working and the potential to support detachments at other sites when required.

 

Essential experience of the Aircraft Inspector:

  • Aircraft handling experience within a military, CAA or EASA Part 145 environment.
  • Experience mentoring new starters.
  • Supervisory experience in an aircraft engineering environment.

 

Qualifications for the Aircraft Inspector:

  • Recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, military experience or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence.

 

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) and Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (EDBS) security clearance for this role.
