Main tasks


  • Maintain and audit schedule, and conduct risk based SECA audits.
  • Operate a change management regime at Site, using Military Change and ITIL systems as appropriate.
  • Keep site drawings up to date, with changes red-lined and sent to the Drawing Office in a recognised format.
  • Maintain an accurate ‘temperature chart’ with respect to site drawings.
  • As required, to chair the SECA Review Board, to review outstanding non-compliant issues identified in audits and installations, escalating unresolved problems as necessary.
  • To prepare and submit Monthly Reports to Head of SECA.
  • To manage the output of the Site Assistant SECA, and periodic management / training of the military Assistant SECA.
  • To manage a portfolio of change management and risk-based installation inspections and audits at the home site, and other UK military based sites, travelling as required. 
  • Attendance at, and participation in, the annual SECA Conference.
  • Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.
  • Drive Continuous Improvements through the implementation of ISO 90001:2015.


    Technical Experience and Qualifications


  • C&G 2382 requirements for electrical installations (17th Edition Wiring Regulations)
  • C&G 3667-02 Level 2 Communications cabling or equivalent
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
  • Internal Auditor ISO/IEC 27001:2013
  • Tempest Fundamentals and Electromagnetic Security
  • Laser Safety and good working practices with fibre optics
  • RF safety and management
  • CIDA Installation Design Certificate
  • ITIL Foundation
