The .NET Developer role is based within our Digital Solutions business area.

The role

 

The difference our new .NET Developer will make
As a .NET Developer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary where you’ll be part of the Applications Solution team where your focus will be on supporting and developing applications to be used by Babcock and MoD.


Day to day, you’ll gather requirements and carry out analysis, design and develop .NET technical solutions based on the requirements gathered and integration requirements with other third-party platforms, perform frequent code reviews and ensuring quality of the overall delivery.

Essential experience

  • Experience developing in .NET
  • Ideally a Degree or HNC level within a Computer Science, or related subject.
  • Extensive experience in development of enterprise-level web applications using an object-oriented technology stack.
  • Experience of designing and developing web methods and HTTP(S) endpoints.
  • Experience of designing, developing and modifying databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Experience of documentation of work, commenting, and proper organisation of code so end users and other team members can use and support individually developed code in the future.
  • You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance.
