The role

As a Skilled Technician you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As a Mechanical Technician in our production operations within the Mission Systems team, you’ll be part of an international company that’s continually innovating. Our aspirations are big – and you’ll help make them possible.

Day to day, 

• Previous experience of assembly and fitting of high quality mechanical equipment in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.    The ideal candidate with have completed a mechanical technician apprenticeship or similar, can read engineering drawings and use standard measuring equipment.
• Experience or a working knowledge of hydraulic testing would be desirable.
• Someone who has a desire to learn about our product and broaden their skills.                                                                                    
• A driven individual who has a desire to own and deliver and can work well in a close team who are flexible and enjoy variation

Essential experience of the Skilled Technician

• Excellent use of assembly and fitting hand tools
• Able to read and work to engineering drawings and technical manuals
• Experience of strip, survey and the production of written survey reports
• A sound understanding of traceability and compliance
• Recording of serial numbers and measurement of critical dimensions

This role is based onsite full time at Whetstone

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
