The role
As a Stores Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll work as an effective team member in the New Dimensions equipment stores carrying out specified tasks as required.


Day to day, you’ll undertake goods-in tasks, pick, dispatch, stock count, defect management and purchasing. 

 

  • Support your area colleague and area supervisor/manager maintain and achieve set targets
  • Utilise Babcock warehouse management systems and / or Microsoft Office to fulfil departmental requirements
  • Accurately complete stock checks within required time frames, including investigation of anomalies
  • Assist with any workshop activity as required not limited to equipment inspection / service, cleaning, driving, testing and asset management
  • Ensure all booking in and putaways are accurately completed and submitted within the required time frames, liaising with suppliers to resolve quality or issues
  • Actively maintain equipment and tools to a high standard, and report faults

 

This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

 

This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Bardon. Typical working pattern will be 5 days week one and 4 days a week two. 
 

  • Week 1: Monday-Thursday 07:00am - 4:30pm. and Friday 07:00 - 3:30pm  
  • Week 2: Monday -Thursday 07:00 - 4:30pm

 
Essential experience of the
Stores / Equipment Operative

  • Good basic IT Skills (MS Word, WMS)
  • Excellent communication and accuracy when dealing with stores data
  • Manual handling and ability to work in a team

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard BPSS security clearance for this role.
