The role
As a Senior Driver, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Undertaking any driving duties as required by the contract.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

• Fuel bowser driving on shift to support flying operations, daily/ weekly and any other maintenance and checks required to ensure vehicle safety and compliance to support flying operations.
• Manage workstreams to administer and control all vehicle related administration within DVSA/RAFMT/DGSA (Dangerous Goods safety Act) and Babcock guidelines, and ensure all personal licences, medicals and competencies are maintained. 
• You will also assist in the ground movement of aircraft and be a key part in our flight-line operations. 
• You’ll be preparing aircraft for the upcoming days flying, conducting see-in and see-off procedures as well as being authorised to carry out fuel and oil replenishment on the aircraft.

This role is full time and based onsite at our Leuchars site. The shift pattern for this role will be 40 hours per week which will include four 10-hour days and whilst there is no night shift some out of hour’s work is required.

Essential experience of the Senior Driver:

• Working knowledge of MOD DVSA/DSG and Transport administration.
• Held a similar role as deputy/ senior driver.
• Managed fleet of vehicles.
• Leadership, mentoring and development.

Qualifications for the Senior Driver:

• PSV, LGV, & ADR Qualified (candidates who do not hold all licenses may still be considered)
• Ability to gain Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers (Passenger Transport and Road Haulage) through sponsored learning.  
• Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards requirements.
• Meet eye colour vision of CP2/CP3 for airfield airside operations.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain CTC and EDBS security clearance for this role.
