The role

As an Aircraft Inspector, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Assisting in the ground movement of aircraft.

 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Supervise and carry out Flight-line operations in accordance with company procedures.
  • Complete all aircraft and equipment maintenance documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedures.
  • Provide technical support to other LAFT sites as required, as well as being available for longer term detachments if required in support of Camps at Easter and Summer.
  • Pre-use checks and Scheduled Maintenance of Company owned Ground Support Equipment.

 

 

This role is part time and is based onsite at RAF Leuchars. This role is 20 hours per week with two 10-hour days per week, but we can be flexible with this.

 

 

Essential experience of the Aircraft Inspector:

  • Experience of handling aircraft in military or civilian CAA or EASA Pt 145 environments.
  • Experience of mentoring new starters.
  • Supervisory experience in an aircraft engineering environment.

 

 

Qualifications for the Aircraft Inspector:

  • Recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, Military experience or NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Driving Licence

 

 

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS clearance for this role.
