About the Role

As a Verification and Validation Engineer, you will apply V&V engineering principles to plan, design, build and execute technical solutions across a range of applications throughout the engineering product lifecycle.

 

Working both independently and collaboratively, you will deliver high-quality engineering outputs that support the development, verification and improvement of Babcock’s products and services.

In this role, you will conduct technical investigations and analysis to support design assurance, problem resolution and system improvements.

 

You will contribute to engineering decision-making, produce and review technical documentation, and participate in customer discussions and formal reviews.

 

You will also play an important role in ensuring engineering activities are delivered to agreed time, cost and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement across engineering processes.



About You

You are an experienced engineer with strong knowledge of Verification and Validation principles and how they apply across the engineering lifecycle.

 

You bring the ability to analyse complex technical problems, apply sound engineering judgement and deliver practical solutions.

 

Comfortable working with a high level of autonomy, you are capable of planning and managing your own technical tasks while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

You are also a collaborative team member who enjoys sharing knowledge and mentoring others to build capability within the engineering function.

 

With a solid understanding of engineering standards, product safety considerations and technical documentation practices, you are confident engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders to support successful program outcomes.

 

To be successful in this position you will bring:

 

  • Significant experience in relatable V&V engineering roles.
  • A working understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. JIRA, SharePoint, DOORS, Teamcenter).
  • Desirable experience working in High Frequency Communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results.
