About you

We are currently searching for the perfect fit to join our Systems Technical specialist team in a Systems Integration and Test Lab (SITL) technical officer position. In this role you will have the ability to provide support and advise to the internal team and. manage configuration safety quality and security of SITL. You will have a strong desire to solve technical problems using appropriate procedures whilst still providing a high level of communication skills through technical report writing and safety regulations.

 

About the role   

Responsible for ongoing support and sustainment of equipment within the SITL and the Systems Integration and Test Lab Officer will form part of a crucial role in helping to define and validate the EDHFCS preventative and corrective maintenance procedures. Supporting test activities and collaboration with stakeholders will be a key to the of the succession of this role and in addition, you will assist the L3 technicians with repair activities to enhance the DHFCS and EDHFCS networks. To be successful in this position you will bring:

  • Relevant experience in systems engineering and test evaluations
  • Relevant exposure to Defence High Frequency Communications system
  • Excellent technical communication skills- written and verbal
  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Commonwealth Personnel Security Clearance
