About you   

Join our team as a Software Architect, where you will play a crucial role in shaping innovative technical solutions for the JP9101 Software program. We are seeking a leader in their field with significant experience in the management of large-scale software development contracts and a high level of exposure to Software development. Significant practical ability within Java and JavaScript will be essential to the success of this role. Your strategic planning skills will coordinate software engineering activities within appropriate project timelines, while your troubleshooting expertise will guide the implementation of our communications system.

 

About the role   

In this role you will be deeply involved in the Software Development Life Cycle, conducting regular code inspections to uphold quality standards. You will ensure that all software components align with approved engineering plans and guidelines, management of production artefacts for deliverables, and support both System and Contract Reviews. You will focus on meeting the enterprise requirements while ensuring an optimal user experience. Your expertise will guide project- specific software design decisions, coordinate technical teams and enforce coding standards as we develop the new EDHFCS software solution. Your responsibilities will include providing technical leadership in specifications, design, coding, and testing, managing software components using Agile methods and participating in defining software requirements.

      

To be successful in this position you will bring:

  • Significant experience in Software Engineering and Development
  • Relevant degree in Software Engineering
  • Excellent technical communication skills- written and verbal
  • Australian Citizenship with the ability obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Defence Security clearance as defined by AGSVA guidelines.
