About the role
As a Senior Test Engineer at Babcock, you will play a key role in leading system-level testing for the upgraded Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System (EDHFCS).
You will be responsible for planning, documenting, executing, and reporting on test activities, ensuring the system meets performance and operational requirements.
Your work will provide essential Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) to support Acceptance Test activities, ensuring the successful integration and performance of the EDHFCS.
About you
You are an experienced systems engineer with a strong background in integration and testing, particularly in complex defence or communications systems.
Your technical expertise allows you to conduct in-depth investigations, analyse test data, and provide recommendations for issue resolution and system improvements.
You have a proven ability to develop and execute test plans, manage test failures, and support Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
Your ability to apply sound engineering judgment, produce high-quality technical documentation, and collaborate effectively makes you a valuable asset to our mission.
To be successful in this position you will bring:
- Hold an accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Extensive relevant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles
- A good understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM systems, DOORS, simulation and analysis software)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results
