About the role
As a Senior Project Manager – Mission System, you will play a key role in leading the delivery of the Mission System for the JP9101 Acquisition Program to deliver the Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System (EDHFCS) capability.
You will be responsible for managing any deviations from planned delivery and propose effective resolution strategies to ensure the Mission System is delivered in accordance with agreed designs and prescribed standards.
Based at Keswick and reporting directly to the Acquisition Program Manager, you will lead a Project Management Team of up to 8 direct reports.
About you
You are an experienced project manager with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong background in infrastructure projects.
As a confident leader, you ensure accountability for the performance and results of multiple related teams and foster positive collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
You’ll have a comprehensive understanding of internal and industry standards and principals to develop project plans, including business, production and or / organisational priorities and the ability to identify and resolve complex multi-dimensional business problems.
Your ability to deliver results under high-pressure environments, often involving competing priorities and tight timeframes is essential in this role.
To be successful in this position you will bring:
- An accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, project management or other relevant field
- Recognised project management qualifications or accreditations (AIPM or similar certification)
- Strong subcontracts management and negotiation skills
- Ability to understand and work with highly complex engineering team outputs
- A thorough understanding of Quality Control and Assurance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results
