Program Manager (Defence High Frequency Communications)

About you

You will be a competent and strategic program manager, with relevant project delivery experience within the defence or engineering environment. You will have managed programs of varying types and complexity, with cross functional awareness of lifecycle requirements and contracting methodologies, understanding the project dependencies and risks.

 

You will be a solution focused, recognised leader with negotiation and communication skills that are second to none. You will promote a strong organisational culture driven by clear and cohesive engagement. You will be able to lead at a tactful level with confidence and awareness of complexities within a high-profile defence program.

 

About the role

You will be pivotal in managing the customer and internal stakeholder interface, seamlessly monitoring the program risks, planning and resources, and maintaining governance for a successful delivery outcome.

 

Leading the program in a way that drives employee engagement, continuous improvement and relationship management will see you embed yourself into this role.

 

You will collaborate with the Strategy & Future Business Team to deliver the High Frequency Communications Systems Project as part of Babcock’s overall business strategy and develop strong relationship across the enterprise.

 

This role is based in Keswick, South Australia.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance as per AGSVA requirements
  • Extensive recent and relevant experience at program manager / director level in a similar business sector
  • Experience delivering major capital and/or complex defence programs in a highly technical discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/project or related discipline
  • AIPM Certified Practicing Project Director Accreditation (or obtained within 12 months)
