Program Cost Controller

Location:

About you

You will be a detailed orientated and proactive professional with the ability to perform duties associated with the financial operations and reporting of Defence related contracts.

 

Bringing your previous experience from a similar role along with defence industry background and advanced knowledge of cost management and ensuring scheduling is cost loaded in line with baseline budgets, will see you excel in this team.

 

 

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Planner and Controller, you will collaborate with the project team and stakeholders to identify and schedule resources (people/ facilities/ materials etc) required to implement the project. You will have a strong focus on identifying requirements, allocating budgets, producing documents to manage the cost and schedule performance of the project activities and tasks.

 

Based in Keswick, Adelaide you will also be responsible for providing monthly performance reports of schedules, objectives, deliverable, milestones and tasks. You will prepare end of month activities including drafting EVM reports, control account data and variance analysis.

 

To be successful you will bring:

 

  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Defence Security Clearance
  • Significant experience in a similar role within the defence environment
  • Experience with Deltek Cobra Software and cost management knowledge
  • Ability to report on projects using Earned Value Analysis techniques
  • Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with scheduling software packages (P6, OPP, MSP)
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or similar
