About the Role
As the ICT and Cyber Security Manager, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering the Network and Security stream across the Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System and related projects.
Your leadership will guide complex technical investigations, systems engineering activities, and integration and testing efforts across dedicated facilities and operational sites.
You will be accountable for ensuring the correct application of engineering processes, tools and governance aligned with Babcock policies, supporting program delivery throughout the design, delivery, acceptance and sustainment phases.
You will also contribute to broader project outcomes through planning and monitoring team performance, supporting business development activities, and acting as a technical authority when delegated.
About You
You are an experienced engineering leader with approximately extensive experience in technical roles and at least two years managing engineering or technical delivery functions.
You bring deep knowledge of ICT and cyber security principles and are proficient in engineering toolsets and you are confident making complex engineering decisions that influence product integrity and lifecycle outcomes.
You excel in communication, collaboration and problem-solving, and you thrive in environments where technical rigour and stakeholder engagement are critical.
With a commitment to innovation, quality and safe engineering practice, you actively promote best practice, mentor others, and contribute to the development of sustainable and future-focused solutions for Babcock and its customers.
To be successful in this position you will bring:
- Extensive relevant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles.
- Experience in managing applicable engineering function and/or technical delivery.
- A good understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software).
- Knowledge of ICT and Cyber Security principles especially in High Frequency communications.
- Familiarity of ILS, RAM, Safety and E3 processes and requirements.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results
