About the role
As an Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing and guiding a team of engineers, ensuring that they are supported, engaged, and equipped to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
You will oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of engineering activities, ensuring that all deliverables meet the required standards of time, cost, and quality.
Through strong leadership, you will create an environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
About you
As a Hardware Engineering Team Lead, you will manage technical investigations, ensure program requirements are met on time, and guide the development of technical documentation with clear traceability to mission system requirements.
You will oversee subsystem integration, testing, and troubleshooting, maintaining secure hardware records throughout the product lifecycle.
You will provide expert engineering advice across domains, contributing to Babcock’s operational capabilities and ensuring seamless product integration.
To be successful in this position you will bring:
- Extensive relevant experience in relatable technical roles.
- A good understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g., PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software).
- Knowledge of RF and communications principles especially in High Frequency communications.
- Awareness of Cyber Security principles.
- Familiarity of ILS, RAM, Safety and E3 processes and requirements.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results.
- Working knowledge of engineering management tools such as JIRA.
