Your Role

About the role

As the Engineering Laboratory Coordinator, you will be responsible for the effective operation, safety and configuration control of the JP9101 Engineering Development Laboratory.

 

Supporting a range of engineering, integration and verification activities, you will ensure laboratory environments, server rooms, HF communications equipment and associated IT systems are maintained in a controlled, documented and operational state.

Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will coordinate day-to-day laboratory activities including system setup, test execution and configuration releases.

 

You will contribute to technical investigations, maintain accurate engineering documentation and ensure systems, procedures and standards are consistently applied to support safe, predictable and high-quality outcomes for the JP9101 program.

About you

You are a technically capable and highly organised engineering professional with experience supporting complex laboratory or technical environments.

 

With a strong understanding of engineering processes and configuration control, you are comfortable coordinating technical activities, maintaining documentation and ensuring systems and equipment are managed in accordance with established procedures and standards.

You bring strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating across engineering teams to support successful program delivery.

 

With a proactive mindset, you contribute to problem solving, risk assessment and continuous improvement initiatives, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance and the effective sharing of technical knowledge across the organisation.

 

To be successful in this position you will bring:

 

  • Relevant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles.
  • An understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software).
  • Prior experience in Defence, secure facilities, or complex system-of-systems environments.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server 2022 administration and operational maintenance activities.
  • Experience with RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux), including command-line operation, system configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Linux administration, virtualisation, and network configuration.
  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Commonwealth Defence Security Clearance.
