About the role:


Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Bid Manager. Forming an important part of the European Business Development team, the Bid Manager will be responsible for the management of pipelines and the delivery of bids within Italy but supporting major bids delivery across Europe.


Main Tasks:

· Oversees BD pipeline and manage the Bidding pipeline

· Report BD/Bidding performance into Europe and Sector Executives and other parties requiring pipeline information ensuring the accuracy of data

· Guarantee Governance and Compliance of the pipeline process

· Manage the bid team to develop and product PQQ, bid submission and associated outputs in accordance with the bid schedule, mantain the book plan, CQ log, project timeline, production schedule and project briefs.

· Provide regular and structured comms for bid stakeholders; ensuring updates are cascaded amongst the bid team.

· Drive bid reviews and governance activities ensuring Babcock Delegations of Authority are met.

· Ensure the compliance of Bid processes versus local law, Group and Sector Policy and Procedures, Babcock Values and Principles.

· Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.

 Technical Experience and Qualifications




Expert in MS Office, SharePoint, Visio and Project


Understanding of Aviation terminology, fleet and regulation


Business Italian Language (spoken and written) – fluent


English language (spoken and written) – fluent


Other language (French, Spanish, Northern Europe) - fluent


Financial principles


Italian legislation knowledge
