This is your opportunity to join Babcock International as Head of Planning Optimisation SAP.  This is a responsible position where you will be accountable for monitoring, optimising, designing, and driving the global planning within the SAP network to reduce costs, increase flexibility, and support future business growth. 


You will support multiple site specific and network wide programs and initiatives to ensure we achieve our business financial targets, KPIS's, business objectives, and drives resolution of roadblocks.

You will need to be a self-starter, demonstrating initiative with a strategic attitude. You will need to have both excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at a variety of levels.


What will you be doing?
As Head of Planning Optimisation SAP, you will be responsible for:

•    Taking ownership for defining, documenting and implementing the target business processes for the Material Planning function 
•    Use deep knowledge of the MP&L domain to analyse issues and define requirements and quantify business cases for implementation prioritisation.
•    Define and implement best practice processes for the MP&L function
•    Act as the focus point with the MP&L function for business process mapping and improvement initiatives
•    Support IT in creating requirements and a transformation map for the MP&L function
•    Act as product owner, steering technology teams with decisions on business requirements and the definition of use cases that support the MP&L function’s requirements
•    Identification and mitigation of risk within the supply chain.


The experience you’ll bring 
•    You will need to have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in an Materials Planning, Logistics, Engineering, or IT disciplines, or equivalent through experience
•    Wealth of experience in material planning process design and implementation is essential
•    Proven experience in operational excellence, lean six sigma, continuous improvement, project management.
•    Experience with SAP planning functionality
•    You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance
