We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Group Warehousing to join our business, focusing on Driving transformational change across our Supply Chain operations including Integrated Business planning, Material Planning and Warehouse Operations.  In this hybrid working role you’ll be responsible for monitoring, optimising, designing, and driving the global warehouse network to reduce costs, increase flexibility, and support future business growth.

What will you be doing?
As the Head of Group Warehousing, you’ll play a key role in supporting multiple site specific, and network wide programs and initiatives to ensure we achieve our Warehouse COE financial targets, KPIS's, business objectives, and drives resolution of roadblocks.


What the role involves:

•    Conduct/lead business process analysis to understand the needs of the Babcock warehouse organisation and enterprise ultimately translating those needs into clear recommendations and solutions for stakeholders.
•    Support the deployment and execution of Lean Continuous Improvement programmes to enhance efficiencies in Warehouse and Distribution operations.
•    Develop and execute visible metrics in order to identify and drive performance improvement and monitor progress.
•    Utilise broad and deep knowledge to develop innovative new business practices, policies and procedures.
•    Partner with Warehouse Operations, Transportation/Logistics, S&OP/IBP, and Business teams including Business Growth to execute various forward-thinking projects.
•    Ensure all warehouse system functionality is configured to optimise performance (e.g. warehouse management, resource management and reporting applications).


The experience you’ll bring     

•    Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience,
•    Wealth of experience in related field (warehouse operations, supply chain, distribution, logistics, inventory, demand planning, supply planning, transportation, manufacturing, sourcing, operational excellence, etc.)
•    Prior experiences leading and managing within a highly regulated environment and leading large and geographically dispersed/matrix organisation with many levels (leadership,
•    Prior experience in operational excellence, lean six sigma, continuous improvement, project management.
•    Experience with WMS software applications and Warehouse Hardware 
•    Accreditation to the relevant professional institutes (i.e. CILT)
•    Must hold or have ability to obtain SC security clearance
