As a Warehouse Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be providing essential support to the daily operations of the supply team, including managing deliveries, overseeing stock control, and ensuring efficient inventory handling to maintain smooth logistical workflows.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Carry out the physical issue and receipt of Barrack Stores to and from Service Families Accommodation (SFA) and Single Living Accommodation (SLA)
- Support and execute office relocations as required
- Locate, manage, and monitor all stock holdings, including unserviceable equipment throughout the repair cycle
- Assist with stock reconciliations by conducting stocktakes and snap checks within designated Stockholding Groups
- Report to the Team Lead, and liaise directly with the Supply Manager in their absence to ensure continuity of operations.
This role is full time working 38 hours per week and is based on site at RAF High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
Essential experience of the Warehouse Assistant:
- Proven background in supply chain or logistics operations within a military or comparable civilian environment
- Proficient in computer systems and digital tools relevant to inventory management and logistical coordination.
