The role
As a Motor Transport Team Leader, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Team Leader is accountable to the Transport Services Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Transport Operation.


Day-to-day, you will carry out the efficient running and control of the Transport Services Section, as well as:

  • Assist in controlling the vehicle maintenance schedule and processing unserviceable vehicle documentation. 
  • The issue and receipt of vehicles (including hire vehicle), keys and vehicle documentation, ensuring that all pre-journey driver tasks are complete and signed for.
  • Action of the shift detail and briefing of shift drivers on their planned tasks.
  • Cover duty weekends and the silent hours as rostered.
  • Assist the Travel Cell clerk in approving travel requests

 

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF High Wycombe.

 

Essential experience of the Motor Transport Team Leader:

  • Experience in a transport/fleet/travel operation.

 

Qualifications for the Motor Transport Team Leader:

  • Full entitlement Category B (Car) DVLA Driving Licence with at least 1 year of driving experience.
