Babcock Security Guard  - 2 year FTC

Salary: £ 22,000.00 - £ 25,000.00 per annum 

About the role


Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Security Guard.


You'll be responsible and accountable for providing a Security Support Service to maintain the security at RAF High Wycombe and supported sites. You'll perform duties as directed by the RAF High Wycombe station authorities including but not limited to MPGS (Military Provost Guard service) and RAF Police in accordance with the relevant polices, directives and procedures. 


  • Present and represent the public face of Babcock International and the standards and ethos of the RAF and MPGS at all times.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with JSP 440 (Defence Manual of Security) and Station Control of Entry policy. Any other relevant policy, directive or procedure as required. 
  • Carry out access control duties.
  • Carry out vehicle searches.
  • Handle lost and found property
  • Operate and monitor CCTV systems in accordance with relevant policies and / or local procedures.
  • Agree to work within and comply with the Official Secrets Act.


What do I need to do the role? 


You’ll need an SIA license, coupled together with experience within a similar role and proven Customer Service experience in a fast moving, complex and pressurised environment.


  • Previous military experience specifically in a provost role or within a MOD security environment - (Desirable)
  • Holds or able to gain SC clearance.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license.


What else do I need to know?


The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
