About the role

As a Supportability Engineer – Platform, you will apply engineering concepts and theories to support the development of designs, calculations and technical solutions across the full product lifecycle. You’ll work within the Platform Systems Engineering team, contributing to technical investigations, documentation, and engineering reviews.

You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering your own tasks, ensuring outputs meet time, quality and cost requirements. You’ll also support technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders, provide engineering advice within your area of expertise, and ensure compliance with engineering standards, product safety requirements and Babcock processes.

Based in Henderson WA, this role offers the opportunity to work across complex technical domains while contributing to the sustainment and development of Babcock products and services.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting technical investigations and analysis to support problem resolution and design improvements

  • Producing and maintaining accurate technical documentation within engineering data management systems

  • Contributing to technical reviews, discussions and presentations with stakeholders

 

To be successful you will bring:

  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Security Clearance

  • Approximately 2 years’ experience in relevant technical or engineering roles

  • Strong understanding of engineering toolsets (e.g., PLM/MRP systems, design, simulation or analysis software)

  • An accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Washington Accord) or equivalent qualifications eligible for Professional Engineer membership
