About the Role

As a seasoned Marine Engineer, you have prior experience as a Mechanical Engineer / Naval Architect / Marine Engineer or similar and enjoy being in the field working alongside waterfront organisations. You’re technically minded, have a good understanding of engineering toolsets and experienced in SQEP assessments in a maintenance / sustainment environment.

You'll be working alongside our ETaP (Engineering Technology and Program Management) team on technical delegations and process development within the Marine Aus and NZ Programs. Your expertise with dockings solid background working with ships and or submarines will be vital to  meet operational demands. Previous Defence experience is desirable but not essential.

To be successful, you will bring:
 

• Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence Security clearance.
• Recognised trade certificate i.e. Heavy diesel mechanic, auto- electrical, refrigeration qualification.
• Drivers Licence, Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination.
• Significant experience in a Heavy Equipment workshop and field service environment.
• Experience and an understanding of condition monitoring principles and how they affect the fleet owning and operating costs.
