About the role

This role applies advanced engineering concepts and technical judgement to deliver designs, calculations and solutions across the full engineering lifecycle. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be directly accountable for the quality and integrity of your technical outputs, while also supporting and mentoring others within the team.

You will lead multi‑domain technical investigations, contribute to product safety, support formal reviews, and ensure engineering activities align with standards, procedures and program requirements. You will also play a key role in process improvement, knowledge sharing, and supporting the development of sustainable and innovative engineering practices.

 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading multi‑domain technical investigations and applying engineering judgement to resolve complex issues

  • Producing and reviewing technical documentation, designs and calculations

  • Supporting technical reviews and presenting engineering information to internal and external stakeholders

  • Conducting technical risk assessments and ensuring product safety considerations are met

  • Ensuring engineering standards, procedures and codes are correctly applied

  • Contributing to business development activities and bid preparation

  • Supporting process improvement initiatives across the engineering lifecycle

  • Mentoring and supporting colleagues to build technical capability

 

To be successful you will bring:

  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Commonwealth Security Clearance

  • Approximately 6 years’ experience in relevant technical or engineering roles

  • Strong understanding of engineering toolsets (e.g., PLM, MRP, design, simulation and analysis software)

  • An accredited engineering degree (Washington Accord) or equivalent qualifications eligible for Professional Engineer membership

  • Membership of a relevant engineering body, ideally with chartered status or working towards it

  • A current driver’s licence and White Card
