As our Scheduling Manager you will lead and mentor a team of project schedulers to develop integrated master schedules and detailed project plans, ensuring consistent processes, templates, and logic across all work. They maintain accurate, high‑quality schedules that reflect real progress, forecast completion dates, and clearly identify critical paths, float, contingencies, and risks.

The role oversees schedule reporting, KPI dashboards, milestone tracking, and performance analysis, driving schedule adherence and leading recovery actions when required. You will optimise resource planning, manage baseline and change‑control processes, support earned value and risk assessments, and coordinate updates to key planning documents. As a senior leader, you will guide stakeholders on best‑practice scheduling systems, resolve complex project‑control issues and build a high‑performing team through coaching, communication, and strong performance management. 

 

About you

  • Qualifications in engineering, computer science or project management or other suitable experience that provides similar competencies;
  • Advanced planning and scheduling skills in Primavera with extensive P6 industry scheduling experience;
  • Experienced in dashboard development with advanced technical skills in Excel, Power query, Power pivot, and Power BI with demonstrated analytical skills;\
  •  In depth understand of project control principles including earned value reporting and critical path methodology and change management;
  •  Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to engage and motivate teams and lead continuous improvement;
  •  Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demand;
  • A proven ability to operate effectively in-service delivery-based contracts;
  • Excellent verbal communication, written communication and presentation skills;
  • Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance
