About you

 

Bring your passion for accuracy and keen interest in value for money initiatives, along with your strong curiosity and eagerness to learn, to this role where you will negotiate and submit Request for Quote (RFQ) packages. 

 

Your proven excel abilities and experience with IFS (or a similar ERP system) in addition to your strong relationship management skills will enhance the teams’ capability and provide you with a career path of your choosing within Procurement. 

To be successful you will bring:

  • Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance
  • Sound ERP system experience and a desire for continuous improvement
  • Membership to the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or the Australian Supply Chain Institute (ASCI)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven, strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer literacy and skills including the MS Office Suite, particularly advanced MS Excel
  • A current drivers’ licence

 

About the Role 

This position is an exciting career opportunity for you to use your interest and skills in purchasing, project or contract administration to and build a career in Procurement within the Defence industry.  With strong training from subject matter experts you’ll learn the entire work cycle for our procurement and purchasing processes. 

 

Importantly, you’ll be involved in the review of all current procurement initiatives and be key in minimising risk while maximising value for money.  Working with the team, you’ll assist in the accurate measure of our contractual obligations and performance. Your attention to detail here is pivotal for success!

 

This role is based at Henderson, WA with a possible requirement to work from our Garden Island, WA base also.
