About the Role
Are you an Allied Health Professional ready to embark on a rewarding challenge? Join our Marine business in Henderson, WA and play a pivotal role in fostering our 'Safety First' culture as an Occupational Health Advisor.
In this crucial role, you'll oversee injury management and return-to-work processes, ensuring best practices are upheld for Babcock employees. Your responsibilities will extend to managing compensation claims within regulatory frameworks, supporting our commitment to operational excellence.
Reporting directly to the Occupational Health Manager, you'll spearhead the development and enhancement of systems crucial for monitoring and optimising Injury Management and Return to Work outcomes across Babcock's Marine Business Units.
Your expertise will be instrumental in enabling our teams to manage injuries effectively, facilitate returns to work, conduct fitness assessments, and mitigate psychosocial hazards. You'll also provide invaluable guidance to staff and managers navigating health challenges, contributing to Babcock's broader HSEQ strategy through health monitoring programs, ergonomic assessments, and medical evaluations.

About you
You’ll have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Exercise Physiology, Exercise and Sport Science, or a related field with experience in an Injury Management and Health and Safety role in a similar industry. Ideally you will have a Cert IV in Safety or experience in Hygiene.
Importantly you’ll have gained in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices related to injury management and possess a current First Aid Certificate and strong understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
You will also be an Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain).
