About the role
This role applies engineering concepts and theories to deliver designs, calculations and technical solutions across the engineering lifecycle. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work independently with occasional supervision, seeking guidance only for more complex situations. You will contribute to technical investigations, documentation, risk assessments and product safety considerations, while supporting knowledge capture and continuous improvement across the team.
The Mechanical Engineer will support technical reviews, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the development of sustainable and innovative engineering solutions.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting technical investigations and analysis to support problem resolution and design improvements

Producing technical documentation, calculations and engineering solutions in line with delegated authority

Supporting technical reviews and presenting engineering information to stakeholders

Ensuring engineering standards, procedures and codes are correctly applied

Contributing to product safety assessments and technical risk evaluations

Supporting process improvement initiatives across the engineering lifecycle

Sharing knowledge and contributing to team capability development
To be successful you will bring:

Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Commonwealth Security Clearance
-
Approximately 2 years’ experience in relevant mechanical or technical engineering roles

Understanding of engineering toolsets (e.g., PLM, MRP, design, simulation or analysis software)
-
An accredited engineering degree (Washington Accord) or equivalent qualifications eligible for Professional Engineer membership
-
Eligibility for membership with a relevant engineering body and a commitment to CPD
-
A current driver’s licence and White Card
