Maintenance Planning Support Officer

About you

The Maintenance Planning Support Officer is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination and management of maintenance requirements and materiel support activities for the Frigate CLCM Contract.

 

To be successful you will bring:

  • Technical knowledge of maritime platforms, asset maintenance, sustainment or 
    engineering support environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning, maintenance delivery and/or 
    sustainment roles.
  • Sound understanding of maintenance management, workflow processes and 
    maintenance planning principles.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities and support services for Defence, 
    maritime, industrial or asset-intensive environments.
  • Experience using computerised maintenance management systems and 
    associated maintenance planning tools.
  •  Experience developing maintenance work packages, Annual Work Lists (AWLs), 
    Annual Task Materiel Lists (ATMLs) or equivalent maintenance planning 
    documentation.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and 
    Outlook.
  •  Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and coordination skills.
  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.

About the role

Your duties will include but not limited to:

  •  Process asset management, maintenance planning and scheduling data within computerised maintenance 
    management systems.
  •  Provide maintenance planning and data coordination services using the Asset Management and Planning 
    System (AMPS) and associated Defence maintenance systems.
  •  Support the planning and coordination of corrective maintenance activities for ANZAC Class ships and 
    associated facilities.
  •  Utilise AMPS to obtain data and generate reports required for maintenance planning and delivery.
  • Utilise AMPS and IMS databases to maintain the integrity of maintenance planning and materiel data.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Annual Work List (AWL) for assigned ship sets and support 
    the collation of the Annual Work Plan (AWP).
  •  Identify, develop and manage Annual Task Materiel Lists (ATMLs) required to support maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain AWLs, ATMLs and the Annual Work Plan 
    (AWP).
  • Identify materiel requirements to support maintenance activities and ensure their inclusion within approved 
    ATMLs and the Financial Year Work Program (FYWP).
  • Review and maintain accuracy of technical data, maintenance routines and standard activities supporting work 
    package planning.
  •  Support the development and maintenance of maintenance plans and schedules across the mandated FYWP.
  • Provide feedback on preventative and corrective maintenance planning to support value-for-money outcomes for 
    the customer.
  • Collate and analyse Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) data to support maintenance planning decisions.
