You bring extensive expertise in auditing quality management systems, developing supplier assurance programs, and guiding suppliers through complex qualification processes. Your ability to lead, mentor and coach technical professionals is matched by your strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trusted relationships across all levels of business and supplier networks. You thrive in multi‑national environments, balancing local and group requirements, and have demonstrated success in shaping best practice frameworks in both established and start‑up contexts. With a sound knowledge of ISO standards, risk management, and safety systems, you are committed to integrity, accountability, and excellence. About the Role

 

As Technical Team Lead, you will lead a team of engineering and supplier quality professionals conducting Supplier Validation assessments that guide Australian suppliers into the nuclear‑powered submarine supply chain. You will act as a subject matter expert for the supplier assurance process, integrating Babcock UK requirements into the H&B framework and serving as a lead member during on‑site audits. In this role, you will be a key liaison to Babcock procurement and supplier quality functions, ensuring validation requirements align with onboarding processes and contractual obligations. Reporting to the AUSSQ Senior Project Manager, you will oversee supplier assessments from down‑selection through corrective action planning, conduct audits and field visits, and deliver detailed gap analyses to support supplier development. You will also represent Babcock at industry events, contribute to program reporting, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires domestic and international travel and offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in strengthening Australia’s contribution to AUKUS through supplier assurance excellence.
