Commercial Administrator

As our Commerical Administrator, you will be responsible for providing commercial and contractual administration support within the RMP-W program. This position supports the Commercial Manager to ensure all contractual and commercial risks are understood, managed and mitigated where possible. The Commercial Administrator enables the Commercial Manager and broader program team to operate with clarity, compliance and confidence in all commercial matters. 

 

About you

You'll provide comprehensive commercial and administrative support by representing Babcock in meetings, preparing agendas, minutes and key documentation, and managing group email inboxes. You coordinate and draft reports, submissions and contractual correspondence for senior leaders, maintain accurate registers and claims across Babcock and Defence systems, and track required responses. Your role also ensures strict adherence to security protocols and compliance with all relevant HSE policies and procedures. 

To be successful you will bring:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the defence industry.
  • Proven experience analysing business needs, interpreting data and using insights to guide sound, commercially aware decisions.
  • Exposure to a fast-paced commercial environment, as well as a working knowledge of Australian Defence contracting.
  • Proficiency across the full MS Office suite.
  • Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.

About the Role

The Commercial Administrator plays a key role in delivering commercial and contractual support across the RMP‑W program. The position works closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure that all commercial and contractual risks are clearly understood, effectively managed, and mitigated wherever possible. By providing accurate administration, documentation, and coordination, the Commercial Administrator enables the Commercial Manager and the broader program team to operate with clarity, compliance, and confidence in all commercial matters.

 

This role is based in Henderson, WA.
