As a Scaffolder, you’ll play an important part in supporting essential engineering and maintenance activities that keep the Royal Navy’s Fleet and wider site infrastructure operational. Your work will help ensure preventative maintenance, vital inspections and critical repair activities can be carried out safely and efficiently—directly contributing to national defence, energy security and the future of engineering within the UK.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Carry out scaffolding duties including tube and fitting, cup lock systems and maintenance of existing structures.
- Support engineering teams to safely complete planned preventative maintenance activities.
- Help identify and resolve defects, alterations and repairs to ensure the availability of submarines, vessels and estate infrastructure.
- Lead or participate in scaffold operations for which you are trained and assessed.
- Assist with wider tasks across the team when required.
You’ll work 36 hours per week, based on site at Faslane.
Essential experience of the Scaffolder:
- Experience providing scaffolding services to support engineering and maintenance activities.
- Ability to support identification and rectification of defects to maintain operational availability.
- Experience following established processes and contributing ideas for improvements.
- Ability to lead or participate in scaffold operations across tube and fitting and recognised system scaffold products.
Qualifications for the Scaffolder:
- Advanced Scaffolder – Blue Card
- Cup lock scaffolding experience
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
