Quality Specialist



We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Quality professional to join our team at Babcock.

The role holder will be responsible for carrying out quality assurance activities relating to operations at HM Naval Base Clyde, ensuring that they are compliant with customer and regulatory requirements including ISO standards.


Specific responsibilities will include undertaking Lead Auditor duties, identifying problems, facilitating root cause analysis and managing corrective action plans. Additionally, the role holder will provide specialist advice and support on compliance-related activities and will work to continually develop, implement and improve policies and processes.


The anticipated salary for this role will be £33,000 per annum.



We are looking for a practising Lead Auditor with a demonstrable history of success in the role. Key areas of competency we require will include:


  • Significant experience of working in professional Quality roles
  • HNC in Quality, CQI level 3 certificate or equivalent qualification
  • ISO9001 qualified Lead Auditor
  • Excellent communication and networking skills


    Experience gained in engineering, marine, nuclear or weapons environments would be advantageous but is not essential. Ideally, you would also be cross-trained to ISO14001.

This role is based at HMNB Clyde, Coulport, 9 miles north of Helensburgh in the West of Scotland.
