The role

As a Multi Skilled Utilities Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a vital role in supporting the utilities infrastructure that underpins operations at HM Naval Base Clyde. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team responsible for maintaining essential services across a highly secure and operationally critical environment.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Supporting utilities operations to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently and in line with departmental objectives.
• Following established processes, procedures and safe systems of work across all activities.
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and productivity within the utilities function.
• Working in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements at all times.
• Undertaking other reasonable duties within your skills, knowledge and capability as directed.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday 07:15 – 16:45 and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.

Essential experience of the Multi Skilled Utilities Operative

• Experience working with utilities activities and associated equipment.
• Understanding of standard operating procedures within an operational environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Awareness of quality assurance processes and standards.
• Experience carrying out manual handling activities safely.

Qualifications for the Multi Skilled Utilities Operative

• Full UK Driving Licence.

he successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
