The role
As a Infrastructure Electrical Maintenance Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll take strategic and operational responsibility for electrical maintenance across a critical nuclear site. This is a high‑impact leadership role where your expertise will directly support statutory compliance, operational readiness, and long-term asset resilience.
Day-to-day you’ll be required to:
- Leading and developing a team of delivery coordinators and senior electrical specialists to achieve maintenance and small works objectives
- Delivering statutory and regulatory electrical maintenance plans safely, on time, and within budget
- Working collaboratively with planning and departmental managers to create effective, conflict-free maintenance schedules
- Managing performance against safety, commercial, quality, and customer satisfaction targets
- Contributing to strategy, supporting asset management plans and future infrastructure development
This is a full-time role, 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, based at HMNB Clyde Faslane. The role is predominantly onsite, with an expectation of 3–4 days per week on site. Limited hybrid working may be available where operationally appropriate.
Essential experience of the Infrastructure Electrical Maintenance Manager
- Proven experience managing teams within an electrical or engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations and standards
- Experience delivering statutory compliant maintenance activities
- Background working within a regulated, fast-paced operational setting
- Ability to adapt, lead change, and manage competing priorities
Qualifications for the Infrastructure Electrical Maintenance Manager
- HNC or above in an Electrical Engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Current knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – Desirable
- Knowledge of inspection and testing standards (for example, 2391) – Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely or similar health and safety qualification – Desirable
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
