The role

As a Calibration Facility Administrator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll provide vital administrative support to the Northern Calibration Facility, helping to ensure quality standards, documentation, and calibration processes are delivered efficiently and accurately. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team supporting critical defence infrastructure, where your organisational skills and attention to detail will make a real impact.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Providing documentation and administrative support activities in line with safety, quality, and operational requirements.
• Reviewing and coordinating quality documentation throughout project lifecycles.
• Maintaining approved calibration procedures and records within the Calibration Online Information Network.
• Managing calibration certificates, equipment records, and associated documentation.
• Arranging meetings, producing reports and minutes, coordinating visitor notifications, and ordering operational supplies.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane. Agile working arrangements are available following an initial period of onsite training and familiarisation.

Essential experience of the Calibration Facility Administrator  

• Experience working in an administration role within an office-based environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using business systems and administrative software.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) PSA and NNPPI security clearance for this role.
