Bid Manager
Location: Andover
Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £ 50,000.00 – £ 70,000.00 plus excellent benefits

About the role

Here at Babcock we are recruiting a Bid Manager to join us on a permanent, full time basis.

Babcock International Group is a FTSE 250 business and is the UK’s leading engineering support services organisation. We also offer a supportive work environment where innovation is at the heart of what we do.

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to have extensive bid management experience, knowledge/experience of public sector governance, bid winning and bid development experience and experience within line management is essential. Degree qualified is preferred.

Working on multi-million pound bids and change programmes within the Bids function. This is a stand alone role, no reports into the role, however with some potential pipeline Bids there may be a need for a team to work with them and so line management experience is needed. Will be reporting directly into the Bid/Commercial director (Jon Cohen), managing the day to day activity on a range of Bids, talking to stakeholders both internally and externally. Key element is understanding the governance of contracts which can be difficult if you haven’t worked in that or in public sector previously.

What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
