In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for supporting the development of a long-term vision and plan for Babcock Canada’s Value Proposition (VP) / Industrial Technological Benefits (ITB) program
- Coordinate an offset strategy and its related metrics and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to report accurate achievement of the Company’s goals
- Be the corporate subject matter expert for VP/ITB and the primary point of contact with Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) Canada for Babcock Canada, including reporting requirements
- Navigate the complexities and associated financial risks of Canada’s Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) Policy to help ensure all current and future obligations are well coordinated and that Babcock Canada is well positioned for success in winning future defence contracts
- Work with Marine/Mission Systems and Aviation/Land Business Units, Commercial Contracting, Supply Chain, Technology & Innovation, and Business Development teams to develop and implement VP/ITB plans for ongoing and future business opportunities in the Marine, Aviation and Land sectors
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate brings:
- You hold a post-secondary degree from a recognized institution
- You have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working with Industrial Regional Benefits, Industrial Technological Benefits or defence offset programs
- You have in depth knowledge of the Canadian Defence Industrial landscape
- You have extensive knowledge of the structure and organization of the ISEDC national and regional agencies; assessment and evaluation of VP/ITB and Indigenous strategies and submissions
- You have detailed knowledge of government programs and initiatives to foster the growth of industrial suppliers under the ITB framework
- You have experience in developing, reviewing bid submissions for the federal Government
- You are familiar with VP/ITB financial reporting requirements, can perform detailed analysis and make improvement recommendations
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
