Within our training division, an exciting opportunity as Training Standard Assessor has arisen to play a key role within the Babcock Electro-Mechanical Training Contract (EMTC) at HMS Sultan, Gosport. Working within a FTSE 250 company, which is the second largest supplier of Support Services to Defence, you will join a dynamic training delivery team who deliver the full spectrum of technical training to the Army’s Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and Royal Marine technical trades.
You will be responsible for conducting in depth course progress reviews and holding post course discussions with trainees, collecting instructor feedback and reporting on this, offering suggestions on ways to improve delivery of content. You will also be responsible for ensuring training is in line with OFSTED guidelines for military training, of which you be provide full training to the required standards.
This position will also include working with external awarding bodies, submitting people for awards/accreditations and claiming, once training has been completed in order to highlight excellent performance and best practice.

What do I need to do the role?


- Although this role is within Defence Training School we welcome applications from all educational backgrounds including schools, colleges and universities.
- You must have a Level 4 Teaching qualification (CTL, DTTLS, Cert Ed), or be a qualified Assessor (A1, V1, AQA).
- You must also have teaching/instructing experience or education assessing experience.
What else do I need to know?
The role will be based at HMS Sultan which is the home of Defence School of Marine Engineering (DSMarE) and the Royal Naval Air Engineering and Survival School (RNAESS).The primary function for HMS Sultan is to supply the Fleet with engineering Officers and Ratings of the highest standard.
